CNC Machinist – 2nd Shift
Shift: 4:30 pm – 3:00 am, Tuesday – Friday
Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate CNC machines to fabricate parts to precise tolerances.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and sequence of operations.
• Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, and materials.
• Calculate and set machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and cutting depth and angle.
• Start up equipment and identify malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, adjusting controls as necessary.
• Verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications.
• Conduct trial runs to ensure machine settings’ accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineers and production personnel to resolve machining issues.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices.
• Adhere to company quality policies and ensure compliance with laws, environmental considerations, and health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED; or 1-2 years of related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• MUST HAVE 5 Axis turning and milling experience
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and regulations.
• Proficiency in basic math operations.
Pay Details: $20.00 to $29.00 per hour
