Actuarial Modeling Intern, Institutional Business
The Actuarial Modeling Intern will join Global Atlantic’s New York-based Institutional business for an immersive 10-week summer internship experience. We are a ~15-person principal investing team within Global Atlantic Financial Group, focused on deploying capital on reinsurance and acquisition opportunities in the US Life and Annuity Industry. To date, the Institutional business has acquired over $75 billion of assets.
The Intern Will Work Closely With Other Members Of The Institutional Business And Interface With Business Leaders And Senior Management To
• Assist and get exposure to liability modeling in R 3 S (formerly known as IBM’s Algo Financial Modeler) for reinsurance deal pricing and financial analysis.
• Contribute to reconciling model output, including single cell analysis
• Help with identifying risks embedded in different liabilities by stressing insurance / liability assumptions
• Conduct static and dynamic validations
• Collaborate both within the Institutional business, as well as with other areas such as Risk, Actuarial, Finance, and Investments
Experience And Qualifications
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science with a graduation date of December 2025 or May 2026
• Exceptional analytical abilities and the eagerness to learn
• Inquisitive and intellectually curious
• Ability to work independently and excel in a dynamic, exciting, and fast-paced environment

Global Atlantic’s Intern Salary is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. The Intern Salary is based on yearly compensation and will be paid for 10 weeks during the program. Intern Salary is just one component of Global Atlantic’s total compensation package for interns. Other rewards may include an intern cash stipend, employee contributions to a 401(k), as well as a company match on your contributions, and branded gifts. The Intern Salary for this role is $110,000.

Global Atlantic has offices in Atlanta, Batesville, Bermuda, Boston, Des Moines, Hartford, Indianapolis, and New York City. The base salary range posted below is inclusive of the lowest cost of living geography to the highest in which we have a Global Atlantic office.
Global Atlantic’s base salary range is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. Base pay is just one component of Global Atlantic’s total compensation package for employees and at times we hire outside the boundaries of the salary range. Other rewards may include annual cash bonuses, long-term incentives (equity), generous benefits (including immediate vesting on employee contributions to a 401(k), as well as a company match on your contributions), and sales incentives. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Compensation for our more senior positions have a larger component of short-term cash bonus and long-term incentives.
The base salary range for this role is
$37,000 — $110,000 USD
Global Atlantic reserves the right to modify the qualifications and requirements for this position to accommodate business needs and regulatory changes. Future adjustments may include obtaining specific licenses or certifications to comply with operational needs and conform to applicable industry-specific regulatory requirements, state and federal laws.
