Job Description:
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Retail Management or similar field of study required.
Work Experiences:
• 7+ years of experience in a workforce management or workload capacity planning role.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience required.
• Retail experience, specifically an understanding of retail operations, store operations, merchandising and retail systems & technology required.
• Application of workforce management business process design.
• Experience conducting time and motion studies as well as workforce management tools and systems.

• Demonstrated ability to lead an organization through a Workforce Management implementation and associated business process designs.
• Superior interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Expert analytical skills, with strong mathematical and problem-solving abilities, and creative resolution skills
• Excellent time management skills, ability to support multiple projects, and effectively prioritize and manage a large volume of work

Responsibilities:
• Lead team of subject matter experts and analysts to design and implement workforce strategies and staffing models that enable the business to meet financial, customer and team member needs.
• Operate as the lead subject matter expert (SME) to Academy senior leadership regarding retail and stores workforce data and analytics.
• Leverage Academy’s strategic operating plans to define and communicate workforce utilization requirements.
• Develop store labor standards, including staffing requirements, time and motion studies, and identification of fixed and variable labor components.
• Forecast and plan workload, determining how to maximize resource capacity in support of retail store operations.
• Lead the integration and implementation of enterprise workforce management systems to improve their labor forecasting capabilities and ensure effective, phased rollout of WFM components.
• Document and maintain processes for retail store WFM execution, including scheduling and forecasting.
• Establish Company, Region, District, Store and Team Member level reporting that drives performance, customer service, sales, and profitability.
• Create and implement roadmap for bringing data from multiple sources to one central Business Intelligence Tool, and review reporting for effectiveness and usage at all levels.
• Review existing reporting across the field for continued relevance and streamlines where needed.
• Automation of key reporting, reducing the need for ad-hoc reporting.
• Leading Team in driving results through data vs. simply creation of the reporting (i.e. actionable exception reporting).
• Creation of metrics that measure new and existing initiatives for success
• Implement management tools to optimize workforce planning and management, including dashboards, key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting.
• Prepare presentations for senior leadership regarding workforce dynamics and metrics that impact business outcomes.
• Monitor service levels and forecasted workloads to influence and positively impact performance results.
• Provide workforce planning analysis and forecasting to assist with the creation of annual store payroll budgets.
• Learn, follow and enforce Academy’s policies, procedures, and safety rules.
• Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior.
• Responsibilities may change; Senior Retail Workforce Management Manager may be required to perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays based on business needs.
