General Summary:
The Sales Planning Manager is a key part of the Sales Planning Team acting as an extension of the field sales teams, providing input and analytics around TPM plan building and execution. This role will work in conjunction with Customer Strategy team to ensure that the field has the latest data from cross functionals such as RGM and Category Strategy to build a strong sales forecast.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Provide in depth analysis on rolling 3-month field sales projections utilizing TPM, IRI/Nielsen and other relevant data
• In conjunction with Forecasting Reporting Manager, develops monthly outlook on forecasting performance against KPIs through articulation of clear, concise message points to the Customer Vice Presidents and Customer Sales Leads to drive stronger forecasting
• Identify risks and opportunities and solutions balancing both customer needs and business needs
• Work with field sales to review and optimize promotional support plans within guardrails and with maximum return on investment. Utilize the cross functional resources to ensure plans are built and grounded in an analytical manner
• Works closely with counterparts across Sales function to provide tools needed for Customer Sales Leads to plan and sell-in against business initiatives from the Customer Strategy, Brand, RGM and Category Strategy teams, to achieve operating plan commitments
• Acute knowledge of TPM system and ability to look and identify planning opportunities through better and more accurate key stroke inputs
• Provides direction to Customer Strategy for AOP and Trade allocation. Ensures that field sales teams and their businesses are represented in AOP and Trade allocation discussions
• Performs other duties as assigned due to business needs or special circumstances
Job Complexity:
• Develop a productive working relationship with Customer Sales Leads, RGM, Customer Strategy and Category Strategy that has open communication and on-going touch points
• Develop a collaborative relationship with counterparts in RGM, Category Strategy and Customer Strategy
• Create an acute understanding of monthly and annual forecasting: process milestones, stakeholders and software applications
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 8+ years of prior internal or external sales experience
• Preferred prior experience in monthly forecasting and building annual sales forecasts
• Preferred project management experience

Compensation and Benefits:
The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$85,900-$140,800
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
