Role Overview
Our DT organization ensures that RTX teammates across the globe are able to communicate, collaborate and innovate for customer success. We create leading-edge technology solutions to prevent security threats, protect the integrity of our systems and support the RTX DT infrastructures around the world.
As an RTX Enterprise Common Classified (ECC) Senior System Administrator you will collaborate and partner with a diverse cross-section of DT, Engineering, and Program Management teammates supporting RTX’s programs across the Enterprise-Wide Area Network (eWAN) to support fast-paced, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. This role will involve supporting the External Services team in the development of their Managed Services and External Connectivity.
This position is located in Tewksbury, MA, Tucson, AZ, Richardson, TX with potential for domestic travel. This position is relocation eligible.

Please note that this position needs an active U.S. DOD Secret Security Clearance as of day one of employment. Except in rare cases, only US Citizens are eligible for US Security Clearances.
Responsibilities:
• Planning, Design, Installation of an array of operating systems and enterprise applications.
• Provide inputs and recommendations in the design of standards and policies regarding the delivery of Compliance as a Service (CaaS) and external connectivity (e.g. customer or partner).
• Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware, operating systems (OS) and cloud.
• Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
• Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
Basic Qualifications:
• Typically requires bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or a master’s degree and minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience or in lieu of a bachelor’s degree minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience or associate degree and minimum 7 years of relevant experience is required.
• Must have an active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Solid understanding of networking in an enterprise environment
• Experience in multi-OS environments (RHEL, Windows)
• Ability to translate concepts and ideas into technical solutions and high level architectures
• Experience with Active Directory integration of non-Windows operating systems and applications.
• Experience troubleshooting Windows and RHEL operating systems including Windows 10/11 and RHEL 7/8.
• Experience troubleshooting in hybrid and cloud environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience building and deploying systems in classified enterprise environments.
• Experience with building and deploying security tools in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with a broad range of Enterprise OSes and security related applications. (Microsoft Windows, Red Hat Linux, Symantec Antivirus, Splunk, Tenable Nessus,etc.)
• Experience with Microsoft enterprise applications (WSUS, MECM, Exchange, SharePoint, SfB.)
• Experience working with agile teams on product mode approaches and partnering with product owners and scrum masters to align and execute work
• Experience generating documentation/tooling aids.
• Ability to clearly document and diagram technical systems.
• Experience with Active Directory and related MS technologies (PowerShell, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, DFS, replication, Site topology, certificates, Kerberos, LDAP, and native AD tools).
• Experience working with VMWare.
• Experience working with cloud technologies including Microsoft Azure.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD – 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
