We are excited to announce an extraordinary opportunity for a seasoned professional to join our esteemed Division of Operations as the Director of Financial Operations. In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Vice President of Operations and play an integral part in delivering comprehensive financial and operational guidance to our diverse organizational units. As the driving force behind our budgeting processes and financial oversight, your leadership will ensure optimal resource allocation and project execution across our campus community.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate and manage major capital and IT project budgets, ensuring accurate identification and management of all funding sources.
• Process Capital Project Requests, ensuring compliance with established approval protocols.
• Collaborate closely with the Office of Budget and Finance to ensure precise tracking of projects and requisitions in alignment with the College’s Capitalization Policy.
• Manage vendor relations for Facilities-related projects, including issuing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Invitations for Bid (IFBs).
• Foster effective relationships with key stakeholders in Facilities, IT, and Campus Safety to identify comprehensive sourcing and procurement opportunities.
• Oversee contract and supplier management, ensuring adherence to contract terms and successful execution of supplier relationships.
• Provide collaborative management of the Maintaining Assets Plan (MAP) and prepare multi-year fiscal projections for senior leadership.
• Support the annual budget request process, including data entry into the PBCS system and monitoring supplemental requests and allocations.
• Respond to data inquiries from various internal departments and external agencies, including preparation of the State Capital Budget Request.
• Conduct research, review, negotiate, and finalize vendor contracts and renewals with a focus on cost efficiency and sourcing opportunities.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Vice President, including active participation in relevant college committees.
Required Skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, project management applications, and ERP financial systems.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong capacity to build consensus among diverse stakeholder groups.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective engagement with various audiences.
• Expertise in capital financial management and administration.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in capital financial management and administration, ideally within a higher education context.
• Proven experience in leading and developing teams, with familiarity in Project Management Applications, Oracle Cloud ERP, and Oracle PBCS preferred.
• Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related area is highly regarded.
