The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Human Factors Engineer – Part Time to support our government customer located in Orlando, Florida .
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
• The position involves authoring a report that provides guidance for developing requirements for training simulators and systems centered on outcomes rather than technologies.
• The report will provide overviews of training and learning theories, instructional systems design, current approaches to creating requirements for new materiel solutions for training technologies, the roles of Army organizations and agencies in implementing a new approach to authoring requirements for training systems and simulators.
• The position will not involve any travel.
• Assist management by performing other duties as required in support of STTC laboratory operations as assigned.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Advanced Education required, ideally a Ph.D. with experience in a government Science and Technology and/or acquisition position focused on the development of new training technologies.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Familiarity with organizations and individuals within the training technology requirements and acquisition agencies in the Army.
• Working directly, face to face, with Soldier Center Training and Simulation Division and other acquisition scientists, engineers, and military personnel in Orlando, FL.
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Due to sensitive duties, a signed non-disclosure statement is required prior to beginning work.
• Individual will ensure compliance with security clearance requirements.
