The opportunity
Adobe Design seeks a Sr Experience Designer to join our team focused on the future of Adobe’s product line. As part of a small team of designers thinking holistically about “what’s next” for Adobe’s tools — how they’ll work together, how they’ll address new mediums and technologies, and how they’ll shape the future of work and creativity — you’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the company to discover and define the most compelling experiences for potential development over the next 1–5 years.
What you’ll do
The successful candidate will be a future thinker with a broad set of design talents, as well as someone who is both collaborative and proactive in nature. Our team is empowered to define and communicate strategy and vision in relatable, inspirational, and simple ways, showing possibilities through design-led storytelling. In this role, you will:
• Collaborate with strategic partners across all Adobe clouds to craft the future of Adobe products and streamline product innovation.
• Pair strong communication skills with a user-centered perspective to influence and persuade.
• Facilitate brainstorming sessions and cultivate the creative thinking process with many types of stakeholders.
• Explore experience design concepts via sketches, storyboards, journey maps, hi-fidelity mockups, prototypes, or animations for a wide range of projects, technologies, and devices.
• Dig in with prototypers, engineers, and researchers to understand the capabilities of new and developing technologies and emergent user needs.
• Proactively collaborate across multiple teams to align on strategy and extend design patterns.
• Create compelling presentation decks and demonstrate concepts at various stages of the design process.
• Serve as an ambassador of Adobe Design, promoting our principles and methods when working with other groups at Adobe.
What you need to succeed
Must-haves:
• Proven experience and/or training in design or a related field, with an emphasis on user experience, interaction design, or visual design.
• Ability to proficiently facilitate ideation workshops, cultivate the creative thinking process, build compelling presentation decks or videos, and present inspiring concept pitches.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication and storytelling skills.
• Excellent design craft and the ability to blend that with strong intuition for addressing business goals.
• A highly collaborative nature and proven ability to iterate through early concepts to bring a vision to life.
• Mastery of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design tools such as Keynote, Sketch, or Figma.
• Willingness and ability to contribute to the creative spirit of the Adobe Design team
• A real passion for collaborating across many subject areas!
Nice-to-haves:
• Prior experience working within a creative agency or enterprise creative team using lean startup style methodologies.
• Prior experience crafting design strategy for platform experiences and design systems
