The Senior Director, Data & Analytics is responsible for the planning, execution, maintenance and support of analytics and BI platforms, Enterprise Data Warehouse, and integration tools at AlerisLife. This role requires a balanced leader who can help us continue on our journey to a modern BI landscape. You’ll cover a broad range of responsibilities while helping us unlock the insights and efficiency gains possible with a mature BI practice. This position requires working on location at our Newton office three days a week. A background in, and passion for, the senior living, healthcare, and/or hospitality industries is also a plus.
Responsibilities:
Work Mode: Newton, MA fixed hybrid schedule, 3 days in office
• Develop and implement the overall data and analytics strategy to support the business objectives at AlerisLife.
• Collaborate with functional leaders to identify needs and opportunities for improved efficiency in arriving at actionable insights.
• Lead and mentor the BI/Analytics team; provide direction and oversight for contract resources.
• Drive successful migration from a legacy tool set to a Snowflake/PowerBI deployment.
• Oversee the design, implementation and maintenance of the data architecture and data management processes.
• Own vendor management, vendor selection and implementation processes for any BI, EDW, ETL, integration tools.
• Own cross-platform integration of data to ensure integrity, accessibility and accuracy.
• Manage data governance and quality initiatives to ensure compliance with data standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to drive effective prioritization of analytics initiatives and maximize the visibility and ‘pull’ that an effective suite of BI tools can have on an organization.
• Evangelize! You are the organization’s leader in advocating for the power of a mature BI competency center.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in analytics, data science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, data management or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in leadership roles within BI/Analytics, including responsibility for org design, ‘rent vs. hire’ decisions, hiring & coaching.
• Track record of successfully managing enterprise-level initiatives in deploying BI tools, data integration architectures, etc.
• Demonstrated expertise in delivering people, process, and technology change through data and analytics.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels of an organization, including the ability to translate technical topics for less technical stakeholders.
• Experience in senior living or healthcare a plus.
