IMMI is seeking a Global Commodity Manager to manage relationships with IMMI’s direct and indirect material suppliers and evaluate how those relationships fit into the Supply Chain’s short and long term strategies. This position oversees supplier performance, pricing, and effects of Commodity market changes. This position will also investigate new opportunities through the improved supply chain or new suppliers. The Global Commodity Manager will cultivate relationships with suppliers to procure products that are safe for IMMI’s internal manufacturing, of exceptional quality, and delivered on time every time enabling IMMI to deliver excellent products to IMMI’s customers

LOCATION: Onsite- Westfield, IN
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Category strategy creation, company alignment and execution
• Negotiate with suppliers for best total cost to IMMI
• Initiates Requests For Quotes (RFQ) for new product projects or engineering projects and award business per strategy
• Manages supplier on time delivery, quality, and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) metrics
• Supports related cross-functional supply chain activities
• Identifies, evaluates, and develops suppliers
• Cultivates relationships with quality suppliers for internal manufacturing
• Assures utilization of the best total cost supply partners in the marketplace
• Ensures products are procured on time in order to deliver excellent products to customers
• Collaborates with quality, engineering, and marketing to maximize goals and minimize internal conflict
• Works closely with finance and IT teams to bridge data with the purchasing team
QUALIFICATIONS:
• A bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Purchasing, Engineering, Operations or related field
• 10 or more years of purchasing or supply chain experience;
• MBA or Masters in Engineering
• Must possess highly developed negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Complex data analytical skills with demonstrated results.
• Experience with Oracle ERP, Discoverer, and Supplier Portal
• Experience with Fasteners, Machined Parts, Assemblies
