We have an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to grow their sales career.
The Inside Sales Representative manages an assigned sales account base with a focus on prospecting and new customer development and functions to provide value to a selected group of customers.
You Are Responsible For
• Achieve growth quotas in LBS, MM$ and Material margin per LB$
• Approach the sales process with a high degree of professionalism and effectiveness by successful utilization of company selling process, development of a robust sales funnel and effective utilization of company CRM.
• Exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to specific selling activities. These include, but are not limited to, solutions including appropriate product grades to be offered for specific applications and markets, appropriate use of standard product grades versus a custom compounded product and competitive pricing of products.
• Works with outside sales team to maintain and grow sales territory.
• Manages incoming leads from Marketing, web site, call in as well as UL prospector determining proper channel and person responsible for follow up.
• Actively prospects for new customers using all tools available.
• Work both directly and cooperatively with channel partners to close business based on customer’s purchasing requirements.
• 30% time spent on managing current accounts 70% spent on prospecting. This includes independent assessment of a customer’s needs and the presence of competitive pressures.
• May be necessary to travel to maintain and grow assigned accounts.
• Serves as the primary company contact for assigned accounts.
• May be required to serve as a primary company representative at trade shows, conferences and in other promotional settings.
• As an individual and sales team member, contributes to the company’s planning of both long- and short-term business objectives. This will include periodic and annual sales forecasts, as well as the setting of sales volume goals.
• Provide temporary coverage for outside sellers as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Broad knowledge of solutions, materials, and processing.

• Strong organizational skills required.
• Minimal training and oversight required.
• Works autonomously.
• Strong computer skills, proficiency with MS Word & Excel preferred; SAP experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree required in Plastics or Polymer Engineering, Business, Chemistry, or related discipline.
• 3 years sales experience in distribution, manufacturing, sales, account management
Physical Requirements & Work Setting
• Remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time.
• Operate computer and other office equipment regularly.
• Frequent communication, both verbal and written
• Typical work is in an office environment where the noise level is low to moderate.
