Join us as a Maintenance Assistant in our Kansas City, KS facility.
You will be responsible for being the assistant to the maintenance team working to maintain the facility, machinery, and warehouse through preventative maintenance programs, work orders, and corrective action repairs. You will operate heavy machinery including forklifts, overhead hoists, hand trucks, and other manufacturing and maintenance equipment.

More Details About The Opportunity
• Procure tools and equipment in preparation for repair job as directed.
• Lubricate tools, machines, equipment and visually inspects equipment and notifies supervision of any malfunction in equipment per verbal or written procedures.
• Assist and work with trade and craft maintenance personnel on repair jobs such as minor repairs, plant structural property maintenance, and monitor air compressors.
• Mixes coolant for storage tanks, changes coolant and sludge from machines and equipment as required. II. Report defective material and equipment to supervision.
• Maintain good housekeeping by keeping the work area and equipment clean and tools, materials, and equipment in the proper place. Maintains quality of the facility and property.Ob
• serve all safety rules including those regarding hazardous waste and watches for safety of others.
• Operates heavy machinery including forklifts, overhead hoists, hand trucks, Bobcats with snowblade, paint spray equipment, and sandblasters.
• Checks and maintains steam boilers, air compressors and equipment for proper operation.
Position Hours/shift
• 1st shift – 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday – Friday
Physical Requirements
Physical requirements are standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting and lowering weights up to 50 pounds. Steel toed shoes are required on the distribution floor. Must be able to operate forklift, overhead hoist, and hand trucks. Must be able to lift 50 pounds from floor to waist.
