We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Director of Inventory Operations to join our dynamic Inventory Partnerships organization. As a trusted business partner, you will work closely with Inventory leadership, providing strategic and tactical support for the Inventory Partnerships team globally. Reporting to the GM of Inventory Operations, you will play a vital role in designing and delivering timely and business-critical data insights, driving the adoption of sales tools and processes, and contributing to long-term strategic projects.
WHAT WE DO:
Inventory Operations is responsible for driving operational excellence at all steps of the inventory partnership lifecycle through scalable process and empowerment via data, insights, and tools.
The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of the industry, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to drive strategic initiatives with great tactical planning and process.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
• Drive operational excellence with Inventory leadership, providing strategic and tactical support for the Inventory Partnerships team globally
• Design and deliver timely and business-critical data insights, driving the adoption of sales tools and processes, and contributing to long-term strategic projects
• Analyze and translate data into actionable insights that answer key business questions, inform executive decision-making, and support strategic planning – examples include goals pacing, pipeline reviews, revenue analytics, and productivity measurement
• Provide actionable insights on business and team performance to drive productivity and disciplined management for inventory development and management teams
• Spearhead the development of new data insights for Inventory Partnerships
• Architect and champion the adoption of sales tools and processes, partnering with cross-functional teams (BI, Legal, Product, Finance etc.) to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
• Continuously assess and evolve tools and processes to elevate operational impact and efficiency
• Lead and execute on long-term strategic projects that impact the Inventory Operations function and broader organizational goals
WHO YOU ARE:
Qualifications
• Business acumen and consultative approach; demonstrated experience in driving productivity and disciplined management for sales and/or partnership teams
• Strong business and emotional intelligence with ability to deliver insights and build objective business partnerships
• Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail
• Ability to operate at both executive and tactical levels, while anticipating business needs and driving initiatives autonomously
• Hands-on mentality with a focus on troubleshooting and effectively marshalling resources to achieve objectives
• Expert in managing concurrent initiatives in complex matrixed environments and make objective-based decisions in the absence of perfect information and shifting circumstances
• Experience driving and managing change through influence in a fluid environment
• Comfortable working with a high degree of ambiguity
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field. 10+ years of work experience in client service/sales operations and/or sales-adjacent functions
• AdTech or SaaS industry experience preferred
• Skilled in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, arrays, some modeling) and solid understanding of various technologies/tools such as CRM systems (e.g., SFDC) and BI applications (e.g., Tableau) used to optimize and streamline business processes
• Proven track record in building relationships and effectively communicating with senior leaders to solve complex, cross-functional challenges in a fast paced, high-growth business environment
• Deep experience in leading the design and scaling of business processes using multiple tools and methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to execute strategically and drive projects from conception to completion
• Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with experience in data analysis and distilling insights
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$149,900—$274,900 USD
