Overview
As the Service Biller you are responsible for Service financial and operational tasks including documentation, material requisition, job costing, status monitoring, invoicing, and administrative closeout of service activities. This position is required to closely interact with the Area Service Manager and assigned Service staff to ensure the timely and accurate completion of tasks.
Responsibilities
• Supports service leaders through the creation and interpretation of business reports
• Collects, validates, inputs, and reconciles service data into system applications
• Communicates effectively with customers and other team members
• Responsible for reviewing and receiving purchase orders
• Ensures material and labor costs are posted to correct work order in a timely manner
• Coordinates payroll activities for Service
• Ensure technicians post their time on a daily basis
• Reviews billing backlog and coordinates with Area Service Managers, Field Technicians, customers, and warranty claims as necessary to adapt and overcome all obstacles.
• Process maintenance contract billing I/A/W contract guidelines
• Review service tickets and perform the invoicing process for internal and customer applications
• Performs general administrative functions to support the Service processes
• Sets-up service agreements in system application based on transition documents
• Records relevant correspondence and issues, relevant meetings minutes and other conversations
• Research and work with ASM to resolve invoice disputes in preparation for attendance of monthly calls
• Participate in weekly meetings
• Process and track service warranty claims
• Flexibility to work overtime/ weekends, as required
Qualifications
Education Requirement:
• High School Diploma
• One-year certificate from college or technical school; or six (6) months to two (2) years of related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Working knowledge of office equipment and Microsoft Office products
• Understanding of business financial concepts and fundamental understanding of financial analysis required.
