Product Manager, Alpha Data Services (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Princeton, NJ): The Product Manager, Alpha Data Services will utilize their strong business systems and data analysis skills with an understanding of performance measurement, attribution and risk analytics data platform to support development of our Alpha Data Services and State Street Data Delivery product and service offerings. Specific duties of the position include: Defining and maintaining standard for data ingestion, mastering, management and distribution of Performance and Benchmark data sets; Ensuring that the design adheres to State Street’s Enterprise Data Governance and Management (“EDGM”) requirements; Working with the Client Implementation and Development teams as well as the Project Managers to help establish project delivery plans and delivery estimates; Partnering with sales teams as needed to provide overviews of our Core EDM; Providing analysis and advice to client and development teams around design and changes to the Core EDM product as well as client specific solutions; Acting as a product-focused Subject Matter Expert own overall design strategy and release for product implementations related; Creating and finalizing the Design Architecture Documentation and providing overall design guidance, as needed, including on the integration of new sources, new data sets, and new data element requirements; Being responsible for ongoing Product documentation, including the maintenance of the relevant sections of wiki and product catalog; Analyzing and documenting data mappings from source systems into the solution to standardized data delivery outputs for clients; Supporting on-going enhancements to scope of services for existing clients as needed; and Collaborating with other Alpha Data Services team members to share best practices, raise issues, and develop consistent global processes. (Hybrid remote telecommuting permitted pursuant to company policy).
Minimum requirements are: Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Analytics or a related field; and 8 years of related experience.
Must have: Hands-on experience with Performance Measurement, Attribution and Risk Analytics data as well as familiarity with industry Risk Measurement solution providers; Proven understanding of different investment types and multi-class investment strategies; Demonstrated experience integrating Performance data from industry providers or third party Risk and Compliance systems; Demonstrated experience acting as a product-focused Subject Matter Expert responsible for defining and maintaining the standards around data ingestion; Demonstrated experience owning overall design strategy for product implementations; Proven ability creating and finalizing the Design Architecture documentation and providing overall design guidance, as needed, including on the integration of new sources, new data sets, and new data element requirements; Demonstrated experience ensuring that standards for a managed data service offering adhere to Enterprise Data Governance and Management (“EDGM”) requirements; Proven ability for working with other stakeholders team to identify data and project dependencies and ensure alignment with their data strategies and project timelines; Proven ability of build and maintain managed data service offerings and apply this knowledge to perform subject matter expert activities, consultancy, implementation configuration, and demonstrations; Proven knowledge of best practices for analyzing, organizing and documenting data lineage from source systems into the managed data platform and onward into client consumption marts or outbound deliverables (e.g. extracts); Excellent communication, both written and verbal; and Demonstrated experience creating product documentation and communications to socialize and coordinate key changes to the data servicing offering and updates that have cross client impact (i.e., New EDM’s, EDM changes).(Unless otherwise indicated, State Street is seeking the stated ability in the skills listed above with no specific number of years or amount of experience required. Salary Range:
$157,685 – $175,000 Annual
