Title: Inside Sales Representative
Reports To: Director of Sales & Operations
Responsible for: No Direct Reports
Overview:
Daily activities will include contacting potential customers through phone and email contact, data entry, lead generation, and business analytics. Develop a relationship with potential customers and grow that relationship into a stable book of business to transition to our Account Management teams.
Responsibilities:
• Act as the face of the sales accounts and the main contact via email and phone.
• Do in-depth research on potential customers for lead generation.
• Assist with developing reports for customer pricing and internal pricing history.
• Coordinate available customer freight with available carrier equipment.
• Communicate internally and externally to ensure customers’ expectations are exceeded.
• Learn additional sales techniques and relationship-building strategies.
• Work on assigned projects and meet set deadlines.
• Meet or exceed expected KPIs set by your department leadership.
• Continue tracking the growth of accounts and partner with Account Managers.
• Learn pricing techniques to better bid on lanes for potential customers.
• Complete the onboarding and contracting process for each new customer.
• Potential for in-person visits with new clients.
• Collaborate with Sales leadership on conference calls and closing deals.
• Gain a strong understanding of our business and the industry.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Experience/Education:
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in logistics or business-related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in a logistics environment preferred.
• Experience with and/or ability to learn a variety of TMS/CRM platforms.
• Intermediate proficiency with Google Drive and Microsoft Office (vlookup, pivot tables, reports).
• Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA rules and regulations preferred.

Physical Requirements:
• Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses.
• Significant walking or other means of mobility.
• Ability to work in a seated position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds.
Working Conditions (may add additional conditions specific to defined work location):
• Generally in an indoor office setting; may include occasional participation in outdoor company events.
• Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends and extended hours as business dictates.
• While performing duties of this job, the employee is primarily in a controlled, temperate environment; however, may be exposed to heat/cold during support of outside activities.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Compensation: Range starts at $38k base/year plus uncapped commission, base negotiable for the right candidates.
