Job Summary: Serves as the Deputy Director of Finance and shall act as the Airport’s CFO responsible for overseeing financial and administrative functions such as: finance and accounting, fiscal management analysis and strategic development, internal audits, investments and debt management, budgeting, and related activities.
Job Responsibilities:
• Development of Capital and Operating Budgets – Works with leadership and county staff in determining the financial impacts of the airport budget plan.
• Monitors and Applies Capital Revenue Funding Sources – Coordinates applications for PFC and AIP funding and works with the FAA to ensure timely approval, oversight of billing process, ensures compliance with approved Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).
• Capital Funding Bonds – In conjunction with the Comptroller’s office, coordinates the preparation of documentation for bond issuance and General Airport Revenue Bonds (GARB).
• Budget Monitoring & Reporting – Responsible for the preparation of monthly and quarterly budget monitoring reports.
• Other duties as assigned.
Required Education, License/Certification and Experiences
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Accounting, Public Administration or closely related field required
• Five (5) years or more of work experience in Finance, Accounting or Budgeting required
• Five (5) years or more of work experience in a Management or Director role required
• Intermediate knowledge of all related computer and software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams required
Preferred Education, License/Certification and Experiences
• Master’s degree preferred
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred
• American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) accreditation preferred
• Airports Council International (ACI) accreditation preferred
