Production Supervisor
Your role and responsibilities
Responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Performs various welding operations encompassing mig including copper and aluminum; tig including aluminum, stainless, and carbon steel; and silver brazing.
• Fabricates production parts by following blueprints and schematics.
• Sets up and operates welding equipment and verifies conformance of welded parts to specifications.
• May fabricate replacement parts for machines and prototype parts for Engineering.
• Processes inspections, certifications, and documentation.
• Performs welding equipment maintenance as needed.
• Finishes grinding applications using manual and power tools
• Performs needed safety and housekeeping duties of work area.
• Ability to work overtime as scheduled.
• Other duties as assigned by the production supervisor.
Qualifications for the role
• High School diploma, or equivalent, and:
• Successful demonstration of welding techniques
• One-year experience in various forms of welding; Welding classes and/or certification desirable.
• * Proficient in assigned welding techniques
• * Interpretation of mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbology
• * Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and some exotic materials
• * Working knowledge of fixturing and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
• * Conventional and precision measuring instruments
