Overview
The Manufacturing Engineering is responsible for process design and development, technical documentation, continuous improvement activities, facility and equipment repair and preventive maintenance, manufacturing capital planning and execution, new product launch and engineering change processes, daily manufacturing support, and technical training.
Responsibilities
• Manage the Engineering and Maintenance Departments
• Responsible for development and improvement of manufacturing processes using APQP and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
• Responsible for managing the manufacturing activities for the New Product Realization Cycle (New Product Launch Process)
• Creates or assures availability of technical documentation needed in Manufacturing. Including drawings, standardized work instructions, quality control plans, etc.
• Manages implementation of Engineering Changes
• Develops and executes location Manufacturing Capital Expenditure Plan
• Interfaces with Product Engineering to assure Manufacture ability of new products.
• Responsible for plant equipment and facility maintenance. Create and monitor location TPM program. Manages contractors used for said work.
• Works with Quality Manager, Product Engineering, Sales, and Service to analyze and reduce warranty costs.
• Develop and maintain Department Budgets.
• Provides technical training as needed.
• Manages special projects when assigned.

Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering is required, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 7+ years of Engineering experience, with 3+ years’ experience as a supervisor
• Experience with ISO and TS Quality Systems.
• Experience in Advanced Quality Planning (APQP). Strong Proficiency in PFEMA, PPAP, SPC, Measurement System Analysis, and Error Proofing.
• Strong communications interpersonal, relationship building, presentations, oral/written, listening, etc.
• Proficiency in use of computer and common office software is required (i.e., Excel, Work, and Power Point). Auto CAD. Â Knowledge of ERP Systems is a plus.
