BAE Systems’ Combat Vehicles Master Planning & Scheduling group is a trusted business partner within the Program Management function that establishes, statuses, updates, and delivers plans and schedules that enable program decision-making and aid delivery of quality products and capabilities to our customers and, ultimately, the warfighter. The Bradley Master Scheduler is part of a team that creates and maintains elaborate detailed program plans and schedules (Integrated Master Plans, IMPs, and Integrated Master Schedules, IMSs) that guide program achievement and serve as the baseline against which performance is measured. Working closely with Program Managers and Master Schedulers and engaging with Control Account Managers and Work Package Managers (WPMs) as needed, the Bradley Master Scheduler assists the Scheduling Lead, who ensures Bradley establishes and maintains a resource-loaded Integrated Master Schedule with the necessary level of detail and logic such that the schedule is a valuable program management tool. In partnership with the Program Finance Manager, the Bradley Master Scheduler communicates program status and performance (schedule and cost) to the program team as well as makes forecasts about future performance.
The Bradley Master Scheduler is accountable for the following:
• Horizontal and vertical integration of program plans and schedules across company functional groups including finance, engineering, procurement, operations, manufacturing, and quality
• Preparing regular Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) updates and reports for program management, customers, and/or business management personnel
• Monitoring progress against scheduled activities and identifying performance variances to facilitate focus on critical areas as well as developing and implementing work-around or recovery plans
• Evaluating schedules including critical & driving paths and risk & opportunity in compliance with Combat Vehicles, customer, and industry requirements
• Timely preparation and submission of contract deliverables related to the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and Integrated Master Plan (IMP)
• Ensuring that all schedules and contract deliverables are fully compliant with internal policies, customer, and industry requirements
• Planning, establishment, and maintenance of the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB)
• Communicating schedule guidelines/techniques to program team for IMP/IMS development
• Training and assisting program teams in preparing for and conducting planning sessions
• Resource loading budgets into schedules to help EVMS measurement and reporting
• Performing and assessing schedule risk assessments (SRA) and employ schedule metrics (DCMA 14pt, BEI, EVAS data driven metrics, etc.) to evaluate schedules and suggest corrective actions in a timely manner and subsequently aid corrective action implementation
• Clearly communicating issues and resolutions to project management in both written and verbal means
• Preparing presentations to senior management containing metrics and explanations of data
• Collaborating with functions (especially Engineering, Procurement and Operations) to comprehend and capture how and when scope will be performed
• Sharing knowledge with and learn from Combat Vehicles Master Planning & Scheduling colleagues and beyond
• Coordinating and participating in Master Planning & Scheduling development activities including knowledge sharing sessions, group meetings, industry events, etc.
• Participating in team and functional activities including training, coworker development, surveillance, tool evaluation, process management, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Developing relationships with the schedule stakeholders including internal and external customers
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience or equivalent experience.

• Possesses the knowledge to make informed-choices with sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures
• Knowledgeable in OpenPlan and MS Project or other planning software
• Knowledge of how to assemble and present data and multi-faceted matters in a meaningful way to stakeholders outside of the Master Planning & Scheduling team
• Functional management aptitude including guiding expectations with internal and external customers and stakeholders
• Willingness to challenge and improve knowledge of industry practices and standards as well as company policies
• Proven track record of developing and maintaining professional and effective relationships with internal and external customers
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Business Administration or similar along with at least 5 years of planning/scheduling experience
• Experience with AcumenFuse, AcumenRisk, Milestones Pro, Oracle, and/or Cobra
• Experience with program schedule forecasting and analysis, particularly in a US Defense of Defense (DoD) program environment
• Desire to expand breadth of professional comfort and knowledge
• PMI-SP (Project Management Institute – Scheduling Professional) Certification
• PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Comprehension of Earned Value Management concepts
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $78760 – $133870
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
