MV Transportation is looking for an experienced, strategic Regional Recruiter who will be responsible for the recruitment of both hourly and salaried positions and establish a pipeline for future demands. In addition, the Regional Recruiter will work closely with divisional management to make decisions on: recruitment strategy, talent mining, sourcing, recruitment expenditures and platform selection, review and report on return on investments, and review the MV hiring process at the divisional level.
Job Responsibilities:
• Support, review and provide feedback to our divisions regarding day-to-day recruiting activities, recruiting processes of the recruitment cycle for divisional management.
• Demonstrate influence while guiding our divisions to improve recruitment channels, drive ongoing recruitment activities and maintain acceptable staffing levels ensuring client performance and profitability.
• Train, coach and lead staff of temporary recruiting resources and recruiting coordinators to provide continuous support to operations and daily reporting and accountability on recruiting activities
• Lead recruitment of management roles throughout our operations teams across the region, provide feedback and guide hiring process to ensure top talent is acquired in key roles.
• Creatively source and develop a pool of qualified applicants using traditional and non-traditional recruiting techniques including social media channels, cold-calling/direct sourcing, networking, job fairs, employment agencies, advanced internet searches, postings, etc.
• Building relationships with Community Sources, Military Resources, Driving Schools and other resources.
• Build a bench and identify viable candidates for current open positions and future positions.
• Partner with divisional leadership for all talent planning and strategy.
• Creatively working with divisional management to improve recruiting process and procedures, and to find additional sourcing channels.
• Must be able to develop rapport with current MV staff and build new relationships with local recruiting sources.
Talent Requirements:
• Minimum five (5) + years’ experience in sourcing, recruiting, and interviewing in a high-volume environment for exempt and non-exempt positions.
• Must have experience in a fast paced, multi-location, hourly workforce environment.
• Experienced in the creation of recruitment strategies, reviewing divisional employment data, such as new hire and turn-over reports, and successfully executing strategies within tight deadlines.
• Proven success in using creative sourcing techniques to produce diverse, quality, potential candidate pools.
• Strong engagement and partnership skills and the ability to both understand and deliver to the recruitment needs.
• Solid knowledge of State and Federal laws pertaining to recruitment.
• Experience with salary and non-salaried positions (union experience preferred).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Meets deadlines, makes decisions promptly and effectively communicates with others.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Must be able to perform 60% travel.
