The Workday Risk and Controls Methodology Lead is a critical team member responsible for shaping key Smart Audit value tools and working with our customers to ensure successful product adoption.
The role is methodology and service oriented.
• Design Methodology and Thought Leadership – you’ll be responsible for developing and maturing risk and controls content that compliments the Smart Audit product; thereby better supporting client assurance needs (e.g. risk and control matrices, SOD recipe books, deployment methodology and thought leadership).
• Nurture our Customer Base – consult with our top-tier customers on their Smart Audit usage, provide practical risk-based advice, clarify risks identified by the product, help customers remediate noted control gaps and use Smart Audit in ways that customer enhance value and satisfaction.
• Educate and Enable Others – you’ll be looked to by team members in areas like Sales, Delivery, Marketing, and Product Development for your expertise in audit, risk, and controls. You’ll be expected to coach and consult on general concepts in this space. You may need to research specialized regulatory requirements to understand and define how Smart Audit can be used in these areas.
This role will suit individuals who have a demonstrated passion for next generation digital audit in a rapidly changing environment. You will benefit from exposure to world class software design, product innovation and exposure to the rapidly growing Workday ERP eco-system.
Minimum (essential) requirements:
The successful candidate will have between 4 to 7 years of combined experience with audit, internal controls, and while not essential experience of Workday ERP configuration would be an advantage. Key skills required for the role include:
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to communicate technical solutions and benefits simply and clearly to a non-technical audience.
• Managing and understanding of Workday or similar ERP implementations, configuration – e.g. security and control, and/or optimizations of business process controls and application security.
• Experience designing, implementing and/or testing of configurable/automated internal controls. Experience in performing these activities for Workday is a major plus.
• Experience applying common control frameworks like COBIT, COSO, ISO.
• Ability to recognize a significant risk and define an appropriate control response.
• Identifying and addressing customer needs, including developing and fostering meaningful client relationships.
• Proven competence in managing multiple client priorities at the same time.
• Professional, articulate and self-disciplined.
• Travel is expected, less than 20%.
Desirable:
• Experience working with senior level executives and in complex multinational organizations.
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor Accreditation (CIA) and/or CPA (Certified Public Accountant).
• Workday HCM and / or Financials Certification.
• A broad knowledge of system implementations or transformation projects including key challenges and methodologies.
• Cross industry exposure (of particular interest Financial Sector, Tech & Media, Retail Manufacturing, Professional & Business Services).
• Familiarity with data privacy frameworks, standards and regulation (e.g. NIST, ISO, GDPR, CCPA).
• Knowledge of business process / accounting cycle fundamentals including key risks and controls.
• Experience developing and performing risk assessments.
