IMMI, a growing manufacturing company, is seeking a Staff Tax Accountant to join its corporate headquarters in Westfield, Indiana. IMMI started in 1961 and recently became an ESOP, allowing team members to become ‘owners’ and share in the company’s future success. IMMI is a dynamic company serving over eleven different markets, for hundreds of customers, in multiple countries.
The Staff Tax Accountant will report directly to the Senior Tax Manager (over 10 years of public tax experience) and will also have regular interaction with the Company’s Director of Tax & Accounting (40 years of experience in public and private tax). In addition, this role will have interactions with the related party family office CFO (50+ years of tax experience, including serving as a tax partner with EY and as the CFO of the Company).
The candidate should be able to make an immediate impact to the organization. He or she must demonstrate a working knowledge of fundamental tax and accounting concepts and the ability to advance therefrom. These concepts include but are not limited to book-tax accounting differences, tax depreciation, and working paper documentation. The candidate must be flexible in having the ability to assist with corporate needs as well as the needs of the family office. In addition to tax compliance, there will be opportunities to participate in non-tax areas performing financial analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close process, engaging in process improvement, driving process documentation, and participating on cross-functional teams. Hybrid is available for this position, with the opportunity to work two days remote per week.
LOCATION: Hybrid- Westfield, IN
RESPONSIBLITIES:
• Assist with compliance for all tax filings, payment, information requests, and reporting obligations
• Assist with internal and external financial reporting requirements to ensure timely and accurate GAAP reporting, including income tax accounting
• Prepare timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with monthly period end close process
• Assist in budget process as-needed

Additional characteristics that would be a competitive advantage are:
• CPA license
• Internship and/or employment experience in public accounting or private industry

• Strong interest in personal financial planning
