Moxie Pest Control is looking for a Market Research Strategist to join our Marketing team. We are looking for someone with a business impact mindset and strong technical analytical skills to turn data into insights. You will partner with marketers and business stakeholders across the organization to research, compile, and analyze information on products, consumers, and market conditions to identify potential new markets, sales opportunities, and the most effective methods of marketing specified products.
In addition, you are someone who considers yourself a growth driver, not just someone who will support the needs of the team, but a person who thrives on identifying and chasing opportunities to accelerate growth.
Core Responsibilities
• Supports marketing and sales departments with insights to drive sales.
• Collaborates with business stakeholders to identify and define the objective of an assigned market research project; determines the best methods to use to meet those objectives.
• Analyze customer cancellation data to identify actionable insights to improve customer retention.
• Analyze customer cancellation data to identify zip codes and cities that should be omitted from service areas due to high volatility.
• Researches and compiles data related to the current product markets, customer demographics and interests, and factors influencing product demand; analyzes results to identify ways of maximizing sales and market penetration of current products.
• Identifies potential new products and/or markets through research.
• Compiles data related to competitors’ products such as pricing, sales, and marketing or distribution methodology.
• Engages with marketers to co-develop, measure, and optimize customer acquisition efforts.
• Drafts questionnaires, polls, surveys, and other data collection resources.
• Digs into strategic initiatives, developing insights through analysis, synthesizing, and clearly communicating analysis both written and verbal.
• Reports findings, complete with graphs illustrating data and written text explaining complex findings.
• Forecasts and tracks industry marketing and sales trends based on collected data.
• Delivers reports and presentations of findings to management and/or executive leadership.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, or other relevant degrees
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role
• Power BI and Qualtircs experience is strongly preferred
• Microsoft 365 Suite (Excel)
• Understanding of G-Suite applications (Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Sheets)
• Hands-on experience managing timelines and deliverables
