The University of South Alabama, a NCAA Division I institution, charter member of the Sun Belt Conference and located on the Gulf Coast in Mobile, Alabama, is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Coach – Combined Events / Vertical Jumps. Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Assisting with directing all phases of the program, with emphasis on coaching the Combined Events and Vertical Jumps
-Planning, organizing, and supervising the Vertical Jumps and Combined Events athletes at practices and meets;
-Assisting with Home Track & Field meet management; Recruiting quality student-athletes in the Combined Events and Jumps
-Handling online meet entries; Coordinates all Team travel; committing to and monitoring student-athlete academic progress
-Participating in community fund-raising efforts and public relations.
-Computer skills are required.
-Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Three years of coaching experience with the multi-events, competitive experience preferred in the combined events. USATF or USTFCCCA coaching certification and college coaching experience preferred.
