The Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures in the May School of Arts and Sciences at Stonehill College invites applicants for an Adjunct Instructor of Spanish. The candidate will be expected to teach beginning and/or intermediate-level courses. This is a one-semester position for Fall 2024 with the possibility of an extension. The candidate would join the department comprised of faculty members with a range of disciplinary expertise and a commitment to fostering diversity among faculty and students. This position is fully in-person on the Stonehill campus.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The ideal candidate must be an enthusiastic instructor who demonstrates sensitivity to and understanding of students from diverse backgrounds, their range of abilities, and their particular needs for academic success. Candidates also must demonstrate commitment to, and excellence in, undergraduate teaching as informed by current practice and scholarship in the field.
Education and Experience
Familiarity with Canvas is ideal, but not required. A terminal degree in Spanish is preferred, but ABD candidates and those possessing an M.A. also will be considered.
