Position Summary
Support our mission, vision, and culture by analyzing and coordinating logistical functions essential to our operations. This role requires hands-on experience in logistics, warehouse operations management, and managing small parcels (UPS/FedEx), along with expertise in inbound ocean freight analytics for data-driven decision-making in the supply chain.
Many of our distribution functions are managed by third-party partners. You will play a crucial role in evaluating and managing vendor performance by developing and maintaining performance metrics. As an effective communicator, you will collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to drive tactical improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
Develop and monitor operational metrics for contract warehouses and small parcels carriers.
Conduct detailed freight studies and provide analytical insights and recommendations to support operational and cost-saving goals.
Collaborate with warehouses and small parcels carriers to enhance performance through actionable plans.
Act as a liaison between internal departments (IT/Sales & Customer Service) and external vendors to facilitate effective communication and execution of operational requirements.
Monitor daily warehouse performance metrics and provide feedback as needed.
Resolve fulfillment and logistics issues promptly, coordinating with vendors until resolution.
Stay informed about logistics trends and technological advancements, implementing tools for process improvement.
Develop and document SOPs to ensure accuracy and consistency in inbound transportation functions.
Provide data-driven analysis and recommendations based on trends and network gaps in vendor operations.
Create, maintain, and update department dashboards and analytical tools.
Prepare and audit financial reports for accuracy and consistency.
Qualifications And Skills Required
Strong analytical skills with a passion for learning and continuous improvement.
Proven ability to manage complex projects independently.
Familiarity with financial systems and processes is advantageous.
Basic understanding of transportation, warehousing, and supply-chain execution software.
