Responsibilities
• Leads long-term, large scale .NET application projects throughout the entire Systems Development Life Cycle as the sole project resource or by directing other team developers / consultants employed by the team.• Conforms to Alex Lee IT project management standards and provides IT Senior Management with appropriate project information and status. As appropriate, the .NET Project Leader informs IT Senior Management whenever barriers to success arise.• Schedules and initiates meetings with relevant business personnel to understand and document requirements for new .NET application functionality. Serves as a liaison between IT Senior Management, devoted Business Champion of project and Business Unit’s Senior Management.• Manage multiple projects / initiatives to deliver new or revised .NET application functionality on time and within budget by developing project plans and managing the project’s progress to plan.• Build relationships with software vendors to support building of critical paths and objectives, as well as direct team members on integrating the deliverables and execution of them.• Regularly schedules and conducts technical and business unit meetings to discuss project direction and status. Documents progress according to Alex Lee project management standards.• Oversees functional testing processes within project and takes ownership in application wide testing to insure design requirements are met and standards are complied with.• Coordinates with IT Operational Teams and .NET Architects to ensure that development and production environments are established for projects.• Understands object-oriented design patterns, C# and .NET Framework and provides detailed guidance to developers on how to apply them in compliance with team architecture guidelines and standards.• Deliver a high level of Business Unit Customer Satisfaction by keeping appropriate business unit management well informed and involved in the development process.• Key contributor to team and IT department development processes, application architecture guidelines, .NET coding standards and workstation and server configuration.• Serves as technical / project management subject matter expert and provides expertise to team members as well as throughout the IT Department.• Exemplifies positive, proactive leadership traits; facilitates teamwork and collaboration throughout the IS department• Assumes responsibility for professional development; recommends training for self and others.• Continues to learn about existing and new technology in the Microsoft .NET development platform and project management concepts.• Responsible for on-call duties to provide application support during off hours as scheduled by supervisor. Serves as a backup for other on-call staff.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics or business.• 7 years of .NET production development experience using various technologies including but not limited to C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, XML, XPath, XSLT, WCF, WF, WPF, Web Services, AJAX, SSIS, SSRS, SOAP, LINQ, MVC, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, IIS, WAS and Windows Server.• 5 years of experience working within a .NET team environment with strict development process standards involving documentation, version control, build management and distributed architectures. Technologies used should include a combination of the following: Visual SourceSafe, Subversion, Mercurial, Git, nUnit, MSTest, nAnt, MSBuild and Team Foundation Server.• Advanced SQL skills with a minimum of 5 years Relational Database development focused in SQL Server. • Experience with Object-Oriented Programming within Service Oriented Architectures.
