We are in partnership with a leading consumer electronics company to find a Director of Content Marketing with a unique blend of strategic insight, operational expertise, and an understanding of content’s pivotal role in modern marketing.
This role is crucial for orchestrating the company’s content narrative, focusing on the strategic sourcing, management, and optimization of content to engage audiences and drive brand awareness across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will excel in scaling content production through external sources, ensuring a continuous and diverse stream of content aligns with our brand’s voice and marketing goals.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Content Sourcing: Develop and execute a content marketing strategy that leverages external agencies and user-generated content to ensure a steady influx of diverse and brand-aligned content.
• Process Optimization: Establish efficient processes for sourcing, managing, and transforming raw content into impactful marketing materials, ensuring a consistent flow that meets volume and variety needs.
• Collaboration with Paid Media: Work closely with the paid media team to align content strategies with ad campaigns, optimizing content types for different ad formats to maximize engagement and ROI.
• Content Management: Oversee the management of content assets, ensuring easy access and efficient utilization across teams and platforms.
• Agency Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with content agencies, guiding their output to align with the company’s content needs and quality standards.
• Analytics and Performance: Monitor and analyze content performance, using insights to refine strategies, processes, and content effectiveness.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of production artists, fostering a culture of operational excellence and collaboration.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in content marketing, with a strong focus on content strategy, sourcing, and management.
• Demonstrated experience working with content agencies and managing large volumes of content.
• Proficient in process creation for content sourcing and management, with a proven track record of operationalizing content production.
• Strong understanding of social media, digital marketing trends, and content analytics.
• Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead and inspire a team towards achieving strategic content goals.
