Job Description
To provide ensure that guests receive luggage to their room in a timely manner. Also needs to ensure that vehicles parked in valet get pulled up in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
• Essential Function.
• Check email
• Review vehicle reservation
• Review if any group is covered for bellmen porterage.
• Notify staff of site visits for the day
• Review transportation manifest
• Ensure house vehicles are gassed up and clean
• Ensure bellman and valet are posted in correct positions
• Check VIP and SG arrivals
• Assist with the pulling, and putting away of valeted keys.
• Assist with the logging of all valeted keys into the valet report
• Make sure all associates are updated on daily events and groups in house.
• Review resumes for method of transportation for group arriving and departing.
• Know all on and off property movements
• Check to see if we have deliveries for the day.
• Arrange deliveries
• Status of MOS audits for the month
• Continuously check any room not ready luggage
• Ensure proper tracking of bell log
Hotel Specific Essential Functions:
• Get appropriate daily arrival/in-house lists
• Answer phones using the proper “Moment’s of Service” techniques and procedures
• Follow proper gratuity procedures
• Display and apply current knowledge of local activities
• Follows proper lifting procedures
Tools and Equipment:
• Computer and printer, typewriter, telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine, facsimile machine
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to teach, develop, and motivate others.
• Must have the ability to multi-task.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
