They will be able to translate initial ideas into clear, concise and persuasive materials.This entry-level, full-time position is located at Aptive Headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia. Applicants must be able to work from Aptive HQ a couple of days per week.Primary Responsibilities• Primarily focus on providing internal corporate communications, but also support external-facing public relations and marketing programs.• Work with other members of the corporate marketing team to develop a wide variety of marketing materials and measure their impact.• Translate complex information to plain language for audiences with varying levels of comprehension.• Draft and disseminate content including but not limited to multiple monthly and quarterly internal newsletters, staff profiles, press releases, articles, communications for our internal teams, social media postings, campaigns and other company messaging.• Collaborate with company experts across multiple teams on the development of messaging, products, articles and other related items. Provide formatting and copyediting as needed.• Support events which may include onsite presence, materials development, signage, internal and external communication and other related coordination.• Contribute to social media activities, including assisting with the editorial calendar, content development, graphics, posting, engagement and measurement.• Support ad hoc corporate activities and special projects for Aptive and our family of brands.Minimum Qualifications• New graduate or 1+ year of experience in communications, public relations or marketing.• Bachelor’s degree.• Ability to work full time in Alexandria, VA.• Ability to obtain a public trust clearance.• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.Desired Qualifications• Public relations experience with the ability to develop compelling stories and engage with media is preferred.• Creative and articulate writer with the power to distill complex concepts into clear and differentiated messages that will elevate our brand.• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams within the company and our family of brands.• Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and ability to carry out multiple tasks under tight deadlines.• Curiosity and willingness to learn and tackle projects within a fast-paced integrated marketing and communications function.• Writing samples and/or examples of media placements are encouraged in your application.• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook and Word.About AptiveAptive is a modern federal consulting firm focused on human experience, digital services, and business transformation.
